Ok, well maybe not, but at least we think alike. The Steelers had both Burnett and Summers into the South Side Facility, so they were most definitely on their radar.

Frank the Tank gives the Steelers a real short yardage running back who can also be a lead blocker on running plays and catch passes out of the backfield. Basically Carey Davis, but physical and powerful.

Joe Burnett might need safety help over the top against the speedier pro wide receivers, but he’s instinctive and physical, and he’s an outstanding kick and punt returner.

Love, love, LOVE the Burnett pick!  Smokin’ Joe’s a Steeler!

I love the guy.  Have seen a bunch of his college games being local to UCF.  He is the real deal.  Lots of experience, team leader, works well in zone coverage and can go up and fight for the ball.  GREAT on returns, especially punts.  Not a blazer, but he has RB-like vision and patience.

The talk out of Pitty for the last month should have tipped us off to them getting onboard of The Tank.  Their RB coach hasn’t shut up about him since his Pro Day.  Would have like to see them take a stab at another lineman(OL or DL), and I thought they may go for Shipley, but can’t complain much with Summers.  Bye, bye, Carey Davis!(I hope.)

Just saw that, and I agree.  Been saying this for a month or more: “Summers IS what Arians wishes Carey Davis WAS.”

A pretty nice fit for an Arians FB/utility RB.

i am really liking this draft for the steelers. everything they struggled with last season has seemingly been addressed. not that they don’t need more depth in the trenches, but they got a good player on both lines, got short yardage help, return help, and CB depth. very happy!
