Best Players Left Entering the Fourth Round

by Sigmund Bloom on 04/26/09

James Casey, TE, Rice - The Bengals and Giants will rue the day that they took Coffman and Beckum over Casey

Cedric Peerman, RB, Virginia - Maybe he’ll never be a starter, but he’s clutch, versatile and a high character player.

Macho Harris, CB, Virginia Tech - Corners with bigger deficiencies have already gone. Harris will light the fire of the defense he lands on, and he’ll have an extra big chip on his shoulder now.

Jamon Meredith, OT, South Carolina - I guess his reputation as a soft player is killing his stock, because he’s big, quick, strong, and he moves very well.

Shawn Nelson, TE, Southern Miss - Another TE that is better than the pair that went at the end of the third, and he might even be a three down TE.

Mike Thomas, WR, Arizona - Speed, toughness, ups, and budding return skills to boot.

Jarett Dillard, WR, Rice - Mark it down, steal of the draft. The NFL is too obsessed with speed and height at WR.

DJ Moore, CB, Vanderbilt - What is wrong with this guy that he’s falling this far? Was he on the list of positive tests at the combine?
