Best Picks of the Fourth Round

by Sigmund Bloom on 04/26/09

107. Jacksonville - Arizona WR Mike Thomas - They’ll start out developing him as a slot receiver, but once they see his game, he’ll start.

109. Green Bay - Eastern Michigan OL TJ Lang - He can play all five line positions, he’s tough, mean, quick, strong, and fantastic fit in the Packers zone blocking scheme.

119. Chicago - Vanderbilt CB DJ Moore - Why oh why did he fall to the fourth? As Marc said, if Gilbert and Moore had been the Bears first day, you couldn’t really argue with that. Even if Moore has some black mark on his character record, now he has something to prove.

121. Buffalo - Southern Miss TE Shawn Nelson - Need, value, and a player who is a better blocker than you’d think a 6’5” 240 TE would be.

134. San Diego - Colorado State RB Gartrell Johnson - Johnson has a future! He’ll be the between the tackles grinder to extend LTs career.
